One of our senior financial counsellors had a call from a distressed elderly couple. They had a Supreme Court writ to remove them from their house within two days. Their original debt of $60,000 had grown to $160,000.

Financial Counselling No Interest Loan Scheme NILS
FCV can provide you with information and advocacy on a range of debt and credit related topics, including:
  • Renegotiation of Debt
  • Debt Recovery Procedures
  • Sexually Transmitted Debt (STD)

  • Finance Contracts
  • Guarantor Issues
  • Bankruptcy and its Implications
  • Insurance and Superannuation
NILS provide no interest loans to people on low incomes to enable them to purchase essential household items and health appliances.

Financial Literacy Workshops
A financial literacy program "MoneyMinded" is offered free of charge. The workshops are conducted through weekly 1hr sessions for a duration of 6 weeks. The workshops are conducted on a one-on-one basis and are tailored to meet the needs of each individual.
